Job Summary
- Supervise the processes, systems, and people to provide Standard Operating Document (SOD) documentation services for Apotex Operations.
- Responsible to escalate any critical issues arising from the SOD Process.
- Develop & mentor the associates to meet the quality levels.
Job Responsibilities
- Recruit, assist in training and effectively manage the ongoing performance of employees.
- Supervise performance management of direct reports. Coach and mentor staff ensuring that performance plans are created in order to address individual competency gaps.
- Ensure departmental, team and corporate performance targets are achieved and monitor progress towards these targets using data analysis and proactively address performance issues that may inhibit meeting these targets effectively and efficiently with the support of management.
- Ensure that all departmental processes i.e. WI’s, SOPs, etc are consistently applied by team members by establishing team measurements; ensure gaps are systematically closed in a timely manner.
- Measure efficiencies and provide monthly updates on the departmental activities.
- Assign, distribute and prioritize work to team members and follows-up to ensure accurate and timely completion. Supervise the team’s workload and ensure balance across the group; re-distributing activities as required.
- Maintain team vacation schedules, approve overtime, and monitor absenteeism to ensure sufficient resources are available to support business needs.
- Understand and communicates corporate objectives, translating them into team and individual performance goals, policies and procedures as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain the tools required to measure and communicate department.
- Responsible for change control process of SOD Change Controls (CCRs).
- Identify system improvements opportunities in SOD processes for process efficiency.
- Provide technical support, feedback and guidance to team members to ensure the timely submission of all deliverables for SOD processes.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert with respect to SOD process.
- Be able to correctly select the appropriate change path, understand the consequence of an incorrect decision, and take appropriate actions.
- Chair and facilitate cross-site & department meetings.
- Provide support and guidance to direct reports.
- Support business projects and initiatives.
- Provide timely and appropriate reports (e.g. Metrics, resource requirements, etc.) to the Manager including preparation and analysis of the data.
- Be proficient in the use of SAP and office applications, including Microsoft Access, Word, Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and TrackWise.
- Translate corporate strategic and department initiatives into team and individual performance goals.
- Seek opportunities for process training and cross-training of staff and self.
- In conjunction with management, identify professional development needs of each team member and assist in the development.
- Prepare annual employee performance appraisals and submit them to the Manager for review. Conduct annual reviews with the employees.
- Supporting Manufacturing Documentation Process.
- Participate and lead performance conversations with employees, including monthly one on ones, to connect on performance; check in on employee’s progress toward achieving Objectives, offer support and remove barriers; and, communicate and revisit performance expectations to reinforce and encourage high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.
- Utilize your networks to attract and hire talent in a comprehensive, differentiated and consistent manner essential to our continued growth; then, onboard new employees by providing a consistent experience that reflects the values and commitments made to candidates during the hiring process.
- Ensure adherence of team members (direct reports) with all compliance programs and company policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Science / Pharmacy
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with GMP, SOPs, regulatory requirements and established safety standards.
- Well-versed with process for creation of Quality related documents. Well-versed with usage of Track wise.
- Should be proficient in MS office tools.
- Should have excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Experience of working on online modules / software.
- Ability to be flexible and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment.
Experience
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
