Job Summary
The Reliability Manager is responsible for the continuous improvement of the production and building services equipment. This role is responsible for leading reliability processes that focus on reaching operational excellence, and developing and implementing strategies to deliver improved asset reliability and performance.
This role leads the corporate level reliability strategy development and plan execution. The role sets the strategy, developing the team and leader capabilities, and delivering continuous improvement in asset reliability.
Responsible to lead the continued development of the reliability program across all GSTO sites, and will work with international sites engineering leads to further strengthen and harmonize the reliability program at their respective sites.
This role has overall responsibility for the SAP PM function and its ongoing maintenance and optimization.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and drive reliability engineering principles and best work practices.
- Lead the SAP PM function to provide required daily business support.
- Lead all SAP PM optimization initiatives and major changes.
- Support all corporate and site driven reliability initiatives.
- Manage and oversee reliability engineers and provide needed training and support.
- Establish and provide reliability trending/reporting and KPIs for customers.
- Establish equipment performance expectations and measure overall equipment performance.
- Work with Production to identify key areas for reliability improvements, develop action plan, and work to implement action plan.
- Provide technical support to the Engineering Department on the selection of equipment based on reliability improvements and industry best practices.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure all maintenance activities are properly executed and approved.
- Participate and lead performance conversations with employees, including monthly one on ones, to connect on performance; check in on employee’s progress toward achieving Objectives, offer support and remove barriers; and, communicate and revisit performance expectations to reinforce and encourage high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.
- Utilize open, honest, two way communication to build trust-based relationships with employees, business partners and direct leader while continuously improving leadership capabilities by personally seeking feedback and development.

Job Requirements
- Education
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in mechanical or electro-mechanical discipline, or millwright or machinist with equivalent related work experience.
- Training in Reliability Engineering Principles and Practices preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a staff position including influencing others, managing diversity, setting goals and objectives and measuring performance.
- Experience with CMMS systems, SAP is preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of reliability principles and methodologies.
- Ability to work within a team environment in a facilitator role.
- Strong organizational and communications skills are essential.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Working experience of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills required.
- Displays strong organizational, time management and detail-oriented skills.
- Experience
- 5 - 8 years related experience preferably in a pharmaceutical (or similarly regulated) Industry.
- Experience with reliability best practices and understanding of maintenance workflow and processes.
- Experience leading/training reliability engineers.

The hiring range for this position is $ 109,933.56- $ 153,906.98 CAD per year. The final agreed-upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
