Project Leader, MST-Program (Manufacturing, Science and Technologies)

Job Summary

Responsible for the development, tracking and execution of projects within the Portfolio.  The Project Leader is accountable to ensure all tasks and requirements related to projects are delivered through leading of various cross-functional teams and through timely escalation as required.

Collaborate with Stakeholders and all functional areas across the business to achieve successful project execution.  Provide status updates to the Manager as required and notification of any potential project delays/risks as they arise.  Works directly with other department staff both internally and externally to capture and report on their projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate a team in the planning, execution and delivery of the Project Portfolio. Track and monitor progress of assigned projects to meet cycle time goals, project deadlines and customer requirements. 
• Demonstrates customer focus, understanding of customer needs, building of relationships and collaborating with others. Communicates plans & priorities to functional departments.
• Highlights and escalates critical issues and risks that may affect the critical path during the execution of the Project to the Associate Director MS&T
• Recognizes problems and takes the appropriate corrective action, consulting with the relevant individuals.
• Responsible for preparing project reports, summary documents, meeting minutes and following up on action items. Measure and report plan vs. actual results to Management.
• Facilitate and/or participate in cross functional meetings and communications with key stakeholders in support of achieving commercial readiness, obstacle resolution and general continuous improvement activities.
• Lead, and act as primary contact for assigned project and product portfolio and assigned MS&T projects.

Job Requirements

Education

• Minimum University Degree or College Diploma in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Engineering or related science.
• Project Management certification (PMP) considered an asset.Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities
• Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical products (technical/scientific and commercial), preferably learned through experience working in the generic industry.
• Familiar with the development, manufacturing & packaging and testing of products, and capabilities/principles of operation of relevant equipment and facilities
• Demonstrate knowledge of Project Management principles, practice, software and PM tools & digitial platforms (PowerBI, MSP, Power Query).

Experience 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Management Environment
