Job Summary
As an integral part of supply chain management, focuses on the daily execution and continuous improvement of the movement and storage of warehouse managed materials and products to achieve operation efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service experience.
Responsible for effective resource deployment and team management of an assigned shift and location within the warehouse operations. Responsible and accountable for competently supervising subordinates in accordance with OHSA and internal SHE policies and procedures.
This position is for Midnight shift 10:40 PM - 6:40 AM
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing a resource (shift) schedule to meet customers’ supply needs in raw materials, components, semi-finished products, and finished products including attendance management and overtime scheduling to support operations.
- Supervises and/or provide direction to the Coordinators, Technicians and Samplers daily floor performance and creates a positive and engaged team environment. Prioritizing and ensuring execution of daily warehouse activities according to the urgency, volume, and available resources to meet and/or exceed service level agreement; ensures exceptions are responded to as per escalation procedure.
- Analyzes the daily data relevant to productivity, on-time delivery, and other key performance indicators, and creates and executes action plans to improve performance.
- Ensures cycle counts are completed regularly as per schedule and jointly addresses discrepancies with the Inventory management and Warehouse team.
- Lead user of all SAP Modules (MM, WM, IM, QM), maintains data integrity, troubleshoots and reconciles discrepancies, and manages change impacts within the system.
- Lead and approve Warehouse Operations related investigations and ensure investigations are initiated and conducted following existing procedures. This includes timely identification of root cause, corrective & preventative actions
- Accountable for Warehouse capacity management and processes to optimize capacity e.g. disposal authorizations, 3rd party storage, etc.
- Use systems and metrics to guide the initiation and execution of safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives in support of the Operational Buisness Objectives. Ensures warehouse systems and equipment are being maintained properly and coordinates repair and improvement with appropriate resources
- Facilitates cross-functional communications with all key stakeholders. (supply chain, production, packaging, sales, customer service, traffic, quality, as well as external suppliers and contractors).
- Back up the Manager, Warehouse Operations, as required.
- Participate and lead performance conversations with employees, including monthly one on ones, to connect on performance; check in on employee’s progress toward achieving Objectives, offer support and remove barriers; and, communicate and revisit performance expectations to reinforce and encourage high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.
- Utilize open, honest, two way communication to build trust-based relationships with employees, business partners and direct leader while continuously improving leadership capabilities by personally seeking feedback and development.

Job Requirements
Education
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in logistics management, supply chain management, and / or other related fields; equivalent working experience considered; planning experience an asset. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and application of GMPs, safety, and logistics management.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Competency in applying complex logistics technologies and equipment.
- Flexibility and willingness to rotate among shifts and/or locations.
- Hands-on experience with internet, email, MS office tools, and SAP (or an equivalent system), ideally extensive experience with SAP WM and/or SAP MM.
Experience
- Minimum five years of logistics/warehouse experience with experience in a leadership role, ideally in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industry.

The hiring range for this position is $72,285- $96,380 CAD per year. The final agreed-upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
