Job Summary
The Plant Maintenance Consultant acts as the PM module and PM Material Master Role owner for corporate SAP PM configuration and integration with other SAP modules.
This role is responsible to co-ordinate all SAP – Plant Maintenance module related processes to ensure efficient and reliable operations, corporate SAP – Plant Maintenance program standards are maintained and that all regulatory requirements are meet.
Responsible to oversee the PM module master data maintainer for the activities within the Engineering Services department. Provide related training sessions and continued support to employees required to function within SAP PM.
Job Responsibilities
As the role owner of the SAP:
- PM / PM Material Master roles - administer the implementation, set-up and ongoing management of computerized maintenance management program for all maintenance and repair operations.
- Key liaison between the functional area and the SCM team including: identifying & resolving issues, defining how this issue affects the job function(s), co-ordinating the implementation of process and system changes and verifying all changes within the SAP functional area using defined validation protocols.
- Ensure all training materials are current and updated.
- Train staff on business processes and SAP functionality.
- Enforce defined processes by establishing and maintaining audit procedures.
- Ensure that Process Context Maps (PCMs) and Standard Operating Documents and Work Instructions specific to area of responsibility are kept current.
- Assist with the business measurements that are specific to that functional area.
- Provide back up to MDMs for MDoc assessments and implementation and other SAP functions as required.
As the Consultant of Plant Maintenance Engineering:
- Critical involvement in the Change Control processes.
- Interface with all Engineering Service-related projects and act as the key SAP PM contact and continuously educate and raise awareness of SAP PM and all related departmental systems and processes.
- Coordinate the creation and modification of accurate master data, always focusing on “the best approach” philosophy and identifying site harmonization areas that need improvement. Ensure proper change control processes are followed and data is consistent with departmental and company standards.
- Provide recommendations to coordinators and supervisors with SAP PM maintenance tracking codes (object parts, damage, and cause) for the purpose of equipment history tracking and trending analysis.
- Assist in compiling and formatting equipment data template to be loaded into SAP PM during special projects.
- Review requests for new master data and ensure that all required information is available and correct.
- Incorporate approved changes to existing SOPs, WIs, SDs and ensure SAP PM related master data is up to date.
- Complete SAP PM related tasks on EFCCF’s and TR’s to assist with a timely project close out.
- Create and submit MD-EFCCFs and Master Data modifications as required.
- Review / respond to recommended changes in Training Materials - with input from responsible managers.
- Ensure all CMMS activities are in full SOP and GMP compliance.
- Make recommendations to efficiently manage all facility operations / maintenance related documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide reports and recommendations to managers regarding maintenance program deficiencies and compliance.

Job Requirements
- Education
- Post-secondary education in a computer science/engineering or other technical field or 3 - 5 years working experience in a computerized maintenance management system (preferably SAP PM).
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability, through previous work experience in managing large department maintenance planning activities.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop and deliver working group/focus group training.
- Must demonstrate excellent knowledge of business / resource planning in managing maintenance activities in a constantly changing, fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with various desktop computer software packages including Microsoft Office.
- Displays strong analytical, presentation, problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, demonstrates initiative, self-motivation and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience
- Experienced in implementing and maintaining an integrated computerized maintenance management system (preferably SAP PM).

The hiring range for this position is $62,853.00 – 87,995.00 CAD per year. The final agreed-upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. - We are looking for top talent.
