You will translate business needs into dashboards, paginated reports, and semantic models, and you will support well-scoped Copilot/GenAI agent workflows (e.g., intake triage, knowledge lookup, summarization, and drafting) by configuring prompts, validating outputs, and maintaining documentation and runbooks under guidance to deliver reliable and compliant outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Clarify reporting and agent requirements with business analysts and stakeholders, confirming definitions, inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
- Draft and refine dashboard layouts and report mockups, incorporating feedback to improve usability and consistency.
- Develop and publish Power BI dashboards and reports using established visualization standards, ensuring accurate calculations and filters.
- Build and maintain Power BI semantic models (datasets), applying team patterns for performance, refresh reliability, and reuse.
- Implement report and dataset security based on defined roles, validating access and supporting audits when required.
- Develop and maintain paginated reports in Power BI Report Builder for formatted, print-ready, and operational outputs.
- Use Git-based version control for Power BI artifacts and supporting code, following branching and review practices.
- Collaborate with peers through code reviews and knowledge sharing, adopting feedback to improve solution quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across reports, datasets, and refreshes, communicating status and root cause clearly.
- Support data engineers by validating pipeline outputs (Azure/Databricks) and confirming that datasets meet reporting needs.
- Contribute to defined AI/ML tasks by prototyping, evaluating outputs, and documenting results with guidance from senior staff.
- Configure and enhance well-scoped Copilot/GenAI agent workflows for business use, validating responses and escalation paths.
- Run basic agent tests using curated prompts, record outcomes, and support updates to improve reliability over time.
- Prepare concise demos and status updates for BI deliverables and agent workflows, highlighting risks, decisions, and next steps.
- Document BI solutions, data definitions, agent prompts, and runbooks using team standards to enable support and reuse.
- Apply prompt engineering basics to guide agent behavior, using clear instructions, constraints, examples, and iterative refinement.
- Follow responsible AI and data governance practices, ensuring sensitive data is handled appropriately in BI and agents.
- Maintain awareness of Power BI and GenAI updates relevant to assigned work, applying improvements as directed.
- Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.
