Job Summary
This role will be required to provide financial support, with in-depth business analytics to support financial transparency and decision making. This role will work closely with a number of functional areas to provide value-added analysis and insights to support executive actions.
This role will be primarily responsible for expense forecasting, financial reporting & analysis and budget preparation.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and financial support to a number of functional leadership teams; acting as a key business partner by providing financial expertise and solutions to assist in the achievement of annual and strategic objectives.
- Responsible for the financial analysis of business units and identifying areas requiring attention through management reports. Contribute to the Monthly Operating Report in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the coordination and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan for the related functional groups.
- Design, develop and deliver new reporting methodologies to support business initiatives. Create appropriate tools and models to facilitate effective operational cost management.
- Support continuous improvements activities to optimize operational costs and create EBITDA uplift.
- Support new product launches through profitability analysis and insights that inform portfolio investment decisions
- Undertakes appropriate analysis, in a proactive manner, in order to provide meaningful reporting to management for the purpose of effective decision-making and operational benchmarking of business activities. Utilizes advanced financial techniques to identify and recommend alternative courses of action to optimize working capital and profitability.
- Responds to highly complex and unconventional queries from internal clients, by providing the appropriate information to support the business needs.
- Completes special projects as required. Serves as project leader and demonstrates well developed project management skills.
- Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or a related area
- Accounting designation preferred but not required
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
- Strong technical proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong technical proficiency with ERP systems, SAP preferred
- Financial modelling experience
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Strong ability to anticipate management information requirements
- Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in a timely and effective manner.
- Able to work independently in a proactive manner.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and more than six years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area
- Accounting designation preferred but not required

The hiring range for this position is $ 83,126.43 - $116,377.24 CAD per year. The final agreed-upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
