Job Summary
Total Rewards is a critical element of the Apotex employee experience. This position is an integral member of global Total Rewards team, collaborating with other HR partners and the business to implement programs that will attract, retain, motivate and reward talent that will help to drive the continued success of Apotex.
This role will work closely with the global team to provide expertise in the design, delivery and assessment of all compensation, reward and recognition programs globally with key locations being India, Canada, USA, Mexico and the Gulf Region.
The incumbent will act as a key resource and partner for India HR team to ensure the programs are competitive and consistent with the business and human resource strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Global Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise in the design and monitoring of Compensation and Rewards programs in alignment with business strategy.
- Review and recommend changes to reward programs based on business needs, market practices, economic conditions and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the implementation, communication, delivery and measurement of reward programs.
- Work with the team to manage the annual global compensation review process for global employees, including annual salary budget recommentations and adminstration of annual incentive plans, including cost projections for the current year and target setting for the upcoming year and year end merit review process.
- Prepare compensation proposals and manage compensation, rewards and/or recognition programs as required to deliver the best employee experience.
- Compile and analyse compensation metrics from global locatons to report on compensation trends and metrics.
- Coordinate with HR Shared Services team in India and our recognition program vendor (Workhuman) to manage and administer BRAVO!, our global recognition program.
- Prepare, recommend, manage and report on the annual merit and short-term incentive program budgets.
- Demonstrate total rewards subject matter expertise by using open, honest, two-way communication to build trust-based relationships with employees, business partners and direct leader while continuously improving leadership capabilities by personally seeking feedback and development.
- Support the SAP SuccessFactors global implementation in 2024 specfically on the compensation module and benefits administration for India and the Gulf Region.

India Responsibilities:
- Lead the roll out of global Total Rewards initiatives for Apotex India - annual merit review, short term incentive (GAIP and APIP), equity (MEP) and other programs as assigned.
- Ensure timely and effective execution of payroll processes related to Total Rewards- payroll processing, full & final settlement process.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll related activities for both the entities India entitties (ARPL & APIPL) and oversee the payroll administration of ARPL & APIPL.
- Support the global Benefits Team to ensure timely and effective execution of employee benefit plans like national pension system (NPS), SAS, FSG, medical insurance, groups personal accident (GPA) and group term life (GTL).
- Harmonization of Total Rewards processes, policies and programs for India (ARPL & APIPL entities) and support the Gulf Region with programs and processes.
- Ensure strong financial discipline in preparing headcount & opex budgets/forecasts and meeting monthly budget targets with variance reviews wherever required.
- Support the India union collective bargaining agreement negotiation process .and implement annual compensation revision and other programs in line with the agreement.
Job Requirements
- Education
- University or Graduation degree in a related field.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office), HRIS (preferably with SAP SuccessFactors) and any AI/ ChatGPT exerperience in HR is highly desirable.
- Strong MS Excel and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
- Strong ability to influence stakeholders, educate and align with HR Partners.
- Demonstrated ability to develop related programs & policies .
- Ability to demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced work environment.
- Experience
- 12-15 years of progressive compensation experience along with any experience / understanding of global total rewads, benefits and/or recognition is considered an asset.
- Previous work experience for a global or multi-national company and/or compensation experience for not only India but any of Canada, US, Mexcio or the Gulf Region.
- Previous work experience with a HCM tool like SAP SuccessFactors, Workday or Oracle HCM.
