Job Summary

As the Maintenance and Scheduling Planner, you will plan, schedule and coordinate service activities within the maintenance department, ensuring efficient maintenance execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.  You will work closely with production scheduling, production operations, quality control and procurement departments to optimize maintenance productivity and minimize production disruptions. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) relating to SAP PM Module including creating, issuing, closing, filing and archiving maintenance documents as well as reviewing documents for Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Attend regular scheduled planning meetings with Supply Operations group to plan and schedule corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities for the maintenance team with support from the Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Publish schedules and follow up with key partners to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Escalate any unexpected schedule or scope changes to management.
  • Manage shutdown scheduling and planning.
  • Ensure availability of parts for scheduled work orders, planned maintenance and Production consumables.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing Group to accurately manage the weekly Material Requirements Planning (MRP) report for inventoried items in addition to following up on outstanding requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Issue required requisitions for non-inventoried items.
  • Develop and maintain equipment master data and implementation of parts bill of materials (BOM).
  • Develop and Maintain inventory materials specification information.
  • Maintain inventory nomenclature and warehouse locations.
  • Cycle counting of inventoried items. Generation and reconciliation of accuracy reports.
  • Change management of Preventative Maintenance (PM) Forms, Master Forms and Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs).
  • Generate periodic status reports relating to open maintenance order and PM status, inventory, equipment breakdowns and others as required.
  • Direct support staff for day-to-day activities.
  • Oversee Regulatory, Customer and Internal Audit Support relating to Maintenance records.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience working with an integrated computerized maintenance management system (preferably SAP PM) or similar planning capacity.
  • Post-secondary education in a technical field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability managing maintenance planning activities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, initiative, self-motivation and effective communication skills.
