Job Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible to assist daily and monthly tasks within the Finance group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting the monthly close procedures – compilation/review of monthly accounts, accruals and other FS accounts as well as assist with the reporting to our affiliates/bank.
  • Supporting operations in the analysis of our manufacturing activity, investigation/explanation of variances and report as needed.
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable function as required.
  • Providing support during external audit.
  • Preparing monthly intercompany reconciliations.
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset/ depreciation listing.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual SR&ED claim
  • Supports month-end closing activities with the Accounting Supervisor
  • Working on ad hoc projects or special analysis as required
  • Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • Post-secondary degree in progress in finance or accounting
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication skills with special attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working within tight deadlines
    • Ability to make sound judgments while making decisions or recommendations
    • Computer literate with proficient knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience
