Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the execution of Corporate Affairs plans and developing a variety of communications for internal and external audiences using channels such as corporate websites, corporate intranet, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn), digital displays, and press media in Mexico and Latin America. This role reinforces the development of the Apotex brand in the LATAM region and OTC brands across the continent.

Additionally, responsible for LATAM public relations, leading the development of Apotex's impact narrative in Mexico and key regional countries, establishing strong corporate brand positioning regionally to ensure Apotex is recognized as the "partner of choice in the Americas" — aligned with the global corporate vision.

The role supports Apotex's regional development (beyond Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Costa Rica) by creating impactful campaigns that drive regional brand equity, positioning Apotex as a highly reputable brand preferred by doctors, clients, patients, and consumers. It also supports brand impact strategies and positioning efforts with key governments in the region, in collaboration with the Canadian Embassy and Canada-LATAM Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Communication
    • Manage external communication with various stakeholders through digital, print, and in-person channels.
    • Oversee corporate external communication on social media, websites, and media relations, fostering a strong corporate reputation.
    • Develop, execute, and monitor a crisis management and media relations plan for Latin America.
    • Align external corporate communications, standardizing transmitted information to ensure the quality and consistency of messaging.
  • Corporate Affairs
    • Act as part of the Global Corporate Affairs team for aligned execution.
    • Manage and update the company's intranet.
    • Ensure corporate content aligns with the global strategy.
  • Public Relations
    • Design external communication strategies and coordinate relationships with media stakeholders.
    • Serve as the communication channel for the product donation process to authorized organizations.
    • Strengthen Apotex’s image with clients, the industry, and the community.
    • Provide networking, information, and educational opportunities for Apotex employees.

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Political Science.
    • Diplomas in Crisis Management, Corporate Brand Development, and Organizational Culture are a plus..

  • Experience
    • 15+ years of professional experience in communication, public relations, corporate affairs, and government relations.
    • Regional knowledge of Latin America, preferably with professional experience in multiple countries in the region.
    • Experience in producing content for corporate intranets, social media platforms, and corporate websites.
    • Oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Problem-solving abilities, analytical mindset, critical thinking, and excellent judgment.
    • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to transform a corporate vision into a strategic communication, positioning, and corporate brand development plan.
