Job Summary

Audits and maintains the controlled substance database by performing the following duties and assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the daily operation of the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains up-to-date accurate inventory records of all controlled substance raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods and waste per regulation by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
  • Audits the controlled substance database on a daily basis.
  • Identifies and investigates discrepancies.
  • Assures corrections are made accurately and timely.
  • Reviews batch records, log book and SAP entries as required.
  • Writes SOP’s, special instructions and investigation reports as needed.
  • Coordinates the disposal of controlled substance waste in accordance with current regulations.
  • Assists in preparing quarterly and annual DEA reports.
  • Conducts annual controlled substance inventories.
  • Picks and weighs materials for production orders.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.

Job Requirements

High school diploma and three to five years of related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Pharmaceutical experience a plus.
