Job Summary

Job Title- Sr. Specialist, Global Business Insights

Job Location- Vikroli, Mumbai

Shift Time- Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm

GAPIP – Global Business Insights play a key role to provide the organization with API insights and intelligence. He/She will be working cross-functionally with the entire business on initiatives. Our team enables strategy development by providing API market analyses to the business in order to deliver a strong fact base and logical framework for planning and decision-making. The role necessitates working with a wide variety of software tools, systems and data sources to satisfy the information requirements of GAPIP.

Job Responsibilities

1.    Utilise multiple reporting tools and information systems to optimise reporting function and availability. 
2.    Design and provide training to cross functional business teams to ensure alignment and compliance.
3.    Utilise Sharepoint to enable information management and collaboration. Organizing both Qualitative and Quantitative information across multiple business units.
4.    Be a subject matter expert for reporting and data utilised by GAPIP Business Insights and supported business functions.
5.    Support comprehensive research from various sources (search engines, databases, publications, financial reports etc) of competitive dynamics, trends and developments in the pharma industry.
6.    Apply analytical rigour and problem-solving to build financial models, analyse business risks & financial returns and determine operational implications associated with recommendations.
7.    Develop dashboards, reports and presentations.
8.    Apply project management methodologies, processes, tools, and techniques to manage low to medium complexity projects/initiatives
9.    Administrative Duties:
a.    Ensure relevant dashboards, logs, lists, registers, and internal sites (e.g. SharePoint sites) are accurate and up to date;
b.    Create and maintain project documentation as required;
c.    Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, create meeting presentations, write and distribute minutes.
10.    Integrate strong understanding of API Pharma Business into analytic interpretations and recommendations.
11.    Support the gathering, processing and reporting of all API intelligence as it pertains to global, cross-functional initiatives.
12.    Assist with the gathering of relevant product intel for cross-functional product category reviews.
13.    Industry and Geographic Macro Analysis:
a.    Consolidates and interprets internal and external SME inputs to advise the business on potential courses of action to resolve their most complex, sensitive, and strategic stakeholder issues, whether internal or external;
b.    Develops and maintains highly effective and collaborative relationships with 3rd party market intel data providers;
c.    Provides business perspective on industry benchmarking and analytical rigour;
d.    Develops confidential ad hoc analyses/business cases as assigned, by integrating and summarizing technical, financial, and market information to provide decision-making support to executives;
14.    Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.
15.    Demonstrated ability to understand stakeholder requirements as well as underlying processes to enable fulfilment of those requirements.

17.    Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements.

Job Requirements

•    University degree or equivalent in Business and/or Science related field preferred. (other advanced degree may be considered)
•    5+ years' experience in performing reporting and data analytics.
•    +3 years of experience in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or research-based role required.
•    Strong research background (primary/secondary) required
•    Previous experience compiling/using data to generate meaningful insights required
•    Strategy experience considered an asset
•    Strong skills in MS Excel and Access (VBA and SQL an asset).
•    Experience managing multiple datasets.
•    Experience leading teams and managing cross functional projects.
•    Sharepoint experience, including created and managing sites and lists an asset.
•    Experience using SAP is an asset.
