Job Summary
Responsible for providing strategic communications support that aligns to the overall goals and objectives of the organization and supports strengthening culture, and improving operational efficiency. You will work closely with stakeholders across our company, including our executive leadership team to translate our vision, culture, and values, into clear, engaging, and on-brand internal communication. The Associate Director, Communications will ensure our people receive prompt and engaging communications that build awareness of our strategy and capabilities, strengthen our culture, and improve operational efficiency.
Responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans for various internal and external audiences. Success will require close partnering with key stakeholders across the organization and the ability to work collaboratively.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead internal communications for assigned stakeholder groups, serving as a strategic partner and advisor. Develops and executes comprehensive communication strategies to support key projects, initiatives, and organizational priorities. Ensures messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with business objectives, fostering engagement and transparency across all levels of the organization.
- Adopt an integrated approach to communications using multiple internal channels and platforms to disseminate communications.
- Serve as a key member of the Global Communications function providing communications support to a diverse set of stakeholders on a variety of projects that are enterprise in scope.
- Remain current with new developments and programs related to corporate, brand and change management communications and make recommendations for application within Apotex.
- Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

- Ensures personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.

Job Requirements
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to influence and to coach a wide variety of stakeholders regarding business approach, communications style and content.
- In-depth understanding of change management fundamentals and how communications can enable change programs to be successful.
- Proven ability to translate and simplify complex, conceptual content into crisp and compelling key messags.
- Appreciation for the need to effectively collaborate with team members in order to achieve desired outcomes.
- Excellent writing abilities.
- Highly organized and ability to perform in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, critical thinking abilities and outstanding judgment.
- Innate curiosity with the resourcefulness to solve problems and learn in order to succeed
- Track record of interacting with senior leaders demonstrating tact, diplomacy and respect while ensuring work is advanced.
- Experience
- 10+ years experience working in Communications and/or Public Relations.
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization is highly beneficial.
- Gobal experience preferred.
- Education
- Undergraduate degree from accredited university.
- Degree/diploma in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or Communications Management preferred.

The hiring range for this position is $12,6425.43- $176,425.43 CAD per year. The final agreed-upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
