Job Summary

The Associate Director, Marketing will report directly to the Director, Sales and Marketing. This marketing role is designed to help drive the Marketing plan of action for Apobiologix pharmaceutical products.

The Associate Director, Marketing you will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to maximizing product profitability by developing and executing product promotion, setting and implementing strategic vision (both short team and long term), building a strong continuing medical educational platform,  along with other imperatives that fall under this role.

 

Job Responsibilities

Working closely within the entire marketing group as well as other cross functional areas such as sales, sales planning,commercial operations and medical affairs. As the associate director of marketing, you will lead a team to deliver excellence in the following areas:

  • Develop promotional plan of action for new product launches as well as key product campaigns. In particular, work closely with sales and medicalto effectively develop and deliver all aspects of launch communications and key product initiatives.
  • Generate promotional marketing campaigns, including securing and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to help support the successful launch of specialty products.
  • Devise and execute product plans of action in coordination with sales management in efforts to grow existing business.
  • Working with the Marketing consultant: develop and implement Apobiologix healthcare programs and solutions to drive market share and product profitability.
  • Utilizes advanced analytical techniques and creative approaches and perspectives in the development of national marketing plan and determining the impacts of new trends, technology and legislation in making recomendations for ABX marketing.
  • Serves in a senior management role in the development of the departmental vision, standards and policies and operating procedures.
  • Creates a positive and creative team environment built on mutual trust and respect.
  • Coaches and mentors team members in the application of sales techniques needed to attain targets.
  • Ensures that the organization’s business strategies are communicated to their team and translates overall business objectives into department and individual performance goals.
  • Create and foster excellent relationships with cross-functional teams within Apobiologix and our Apotex partners
  • Secure and manage third party vendors in relation to executing product and corporate communication campaigns.
  • Participate in development of product market & competitive intelligence database, tools and reports.
  • Active participation in annual sales planning and budget process by providing product level forecasts based on promotional campaigns.
  • Participate and lead performance conversations with employees, including monthly one on ones, to connect on performance; check in on employee’s progress toward achieving Objectives, offer support remove barriers, communicate and revisit performance expectations to reinforce and encourage a high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Utilize open, honest, two way communication to build trust-based relationships with employees, business partners and direct leader while continuously improving leadership capabilities by personally seeking feedback and development.

Job Requirements

  • Education
  • University degree (Business Degree or Science degree preferred)

 

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Good analytical abilities with a sound knowledge of quantitative decision models
  • Well-rounded management skills including previous experience managing products
  • Knowledge or previous experience in the Canadian Pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Being bilingual would be an asset
  • Detail oriented, diplomatic team player with a proactive results orientation
  • Able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as enterprise software systems
