Job Summary

The coordinator is accountable for supporting the corporate development activities of Apotex Inc.

The coordinator will be actively involved in M&A projects and support cross-functional teams from across the organization in preparing and/or assessing data and documentation required for due diligence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence meetings, record minutes / actions items, and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare regular updates on M&A workstreams
  • Collaborate on preparation of presentations regarding corporate development initatives.
  • Coordianate post-completion transition workstreams and support monitoring.
  • Generate and coordinate invoicing in collaboration with Corporate Finance.
  • Maintain corporate development documents.
  • Work constructively with internal functional teams to develop and improve processes in order to streamline process related to commercial development deal flow.
  • Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements.
  • Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • College or University degree
    • PMP and asset
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent problem solving skills, detail-oriented and ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Good command of MS Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint;
    • Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, planning and organizational skills;
    • Excellent communications skills with the ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals. Experience in corporate development or project management an asset
    • Familiarity with data rooms is an asset
