Job Summary

The OpEx PM will serve as a senior leader of an Operational Transformation. The role  will be accountable for transformation deployment, and will coach a team of Change Agents towards success and development. The OpEX PM is an experienced leader and will be able to fine tune our approach to different business priorities, Continuous Improvement and Value Capturing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Project manage and execute major initiatives and projects in conjunction with relevant business and/or functional leaders. Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to ensure all initiatives/projects are planned and tracked effectively, including action and risk mitigations plans, to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and deliver targeted objectives/benefits.
  • Utilize highly developed project management skills, methodologies and applicable software to develop detailed project plans/timelines for Operational Excellence projects that drive Safety, Qulatiy, Cost and Supply Improvements inclusive of efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with business leaders, key customers, suppliers and employees in the identification, prioritization, selection and execution of a portfolio of OpEx/LEAN projects through the introduction and application of the DMAIC methodology to deliver business results, ensure customer satisfaction, transform organizational culture and achieve Apotex core strategic work plan objectives
  • Teach and apply LEAN tools & methodology while working as a change agent to drive and facilitate positive change - continuous improvement - in support of the accomplishment of Apotex strategic work plan objectives.
  • Keep Executives and other stakeholders advised of plans, progress, relevant issues and decisions, on a timely and accurate basis by means of weekly and/or monthly status reports.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus; understand customer needs, build relationships and collaborate with others as required. Self-confident and able to deal comfortably and professionally with Senior Leaders and Executives.
  • Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
  • Performs all work in compliance with our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, and related policies and with the legal and regulatory requirements that apply to our job activities;

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • Post-secondary degree in engineering, science or related field with equivalent experience including, but not limited to chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical, health sciences
  • A recognized Lean Sigma Black Belt in addition to a fundamental understanding of Value Stream Mapping, A recognized Lean Sigma Black Belt is considered to be a strong asset.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Strong understanding of enterprise systems, manufacturing operations, computer skills and knowledge of MS Office including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project or other project management software
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear, succinct and timely communication and proven ability to foster important relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
    • Strong presentation skills to facilitate communication in various forums - small group presentations, large employee meetings and briefings with senior leadership
    • Excellent project management skills, organizational and leadership skills with proven experience in holding cross-functional team members accountable and in facilitating the decision-making process.
    • Excellent influence, negotiation, analytical, presentation and people leadership skills
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 - 8 years relevant working experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
    • Demonstated experience in driving results through cross-functional members while maintaining positive working relationships, and taking ownership and accountability for own performance and achiving business objectives
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and coordinating project activities and an abilility to deal with ambiguity

The hiring range for this position is $95,594.40 – 133,832.16 CAD per year. The final agreed-upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
