Job Summary

The ST – Associate, Global Business Ethics and Compliance will assist the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Officer and other Regional Compliance Officers in the day to day operations of the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager, Business Ethics and Compliance Officer Canada with the day-to-day operations of the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program (GBECP).
  • Manage the review cycle for GBEC and other corporate policies as required, keeping the current policy manager up to date, following up with reviewers and making standard edits.
  • Assist with maintaining project timelines for GBECP initiatives such as risk assessments, audits, and training programs. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Participate in routine monitoring and auditing activities for the GBECP. Assist with compilation of issues and follow-up reviews of corrective actions taken to address compliance exceptions reported.
  • Evaluate, verifiy and enhance data accuracy in various GBEC databases to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for electronic systems utilized by the GBECP. Follow up with vendor(s) on UAT findings until resolution.
  • Support and track migration of all corporate policies and procedures from current system into the new electronic policy management system.
  • Follow up with training attestations and provide, as required, datasets of non-completers to relevant business stakeholders.
  • Follow up with new employees on the timely attestations of applicable policies and procedures.
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to GBEC.
  • Work as a member of the Global Business Ethics and Compliance team to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • Must be enrolled in a recognized post-secondary Co-op education program ( Preference for upper year undergraduate in Business Management, Communications, Ethics, Society & Law, Public Policy, or Health Sciences)
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the proven ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and written.
    • Ability to work independently, as well as work well in a team setting.
    • Ability to document activities quickly and accurately.
    • Strong desire to learn and contribute to team goals.
    • Aptitude to embrace and learn new technology quickly.
    • Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience
    • Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Data management, reporting, verification and testing.
    • Quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
