Job Summary

Demonstrate highly developed project management skills by utilizing the tools, systems, methodologies and software to lead, plan, manage and execute all post-launch changes at the molecule/SKU level across all sites.  Manage projects to ensure uninterrupted supply to the markets.

Provide expertise, direction, and support to stakeholders across the business to achieve successful change implementation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate highly developed project management skills by utilizing the tools, systems, methodologies and software to lead, plan, and execute all post-launch changes at the molecule/ SKU level across all sites. Lead projects to ensure uninterrupted supply to the markets.
  • Serve in a senior role as the leader and primary contact for assigned product portfolio across Apotex sites, in the development of project plans to ensure commercial readiness within the required timeline leveraging dependent changes in the pipeline.
  • Understand time-sensitive nature of managing post-launch changes by minimizing and/or eliminating delays within the critical path. Work with all functional areas to manage project risk by allocating task and decision-making responsibilities to appropriate team members.  Ensure all plans and scheduled tasks are on target to achieve commercial readiness within the required timeline leveraging dependent changes in the pipeline.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and meetings to understand the scope/risk of a change, engage stakeholders (including the R&D evaluation teams) and ensure readiness to trigger the change control management process.
  • Execute projects based on site-based priorities established by the Site Leadership team. Escalate potential supply issues to site Project Manager, SCMP.  S&OP process will be engaged for escalation if issues cannot be resolved at the site.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts in groups including Production, Procurement, GAPIP, Quality & Compliance, RA, R&D, NPL and Global Supply Chain.
  • Act as an expert resource by utilizing advanced analytical techniques to identify contentious issues and anticipate problems affecting the continuous supply of a product due to post-launch change. Jointly develop contingency plans with key stakeholders including the site based Supply Chain team.  Communicate recommended course of action/decision for execution.
  • Identify needs and implement improvements for SCMP processes and participate in the regular review and revision of existing SODs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in developing, recommending and implementing cross-functional project teams, systems, policies, procedures and measures of performance to facilitate continuous improvement of the post-launch changes.
  • Measure and report plan vs actual results to management.
  • Effectively utilize systems / applications to support change implementation success and for communication purposes. Responsible for updating and maintaining all tools required by the SCMP process.
  • Perform investigation related to post-launch changes as required.
  • Partner with site Supply Chain to ensure awareness of red-flagged items; including capacity constraints, regulatory constraints, competing priorities, project slippages, potentially interrupted supply of product to the markets, and suggested solutions.
  • Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • University degree or equivalent in Business and/or Science related field
    • PMP Certification considered an asset
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
    • Strong understanding of enterprise systems (e.g. SAP, TrackWise)
    • Proven experience holding cross-functional members accountable and facilitating the decision-making process
    • Strong computer skills, knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, project management software
    • Strong decision-making, interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
    • Strong knowledge of organizational structure and functions across Apotex
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent project management and leadership skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to internal and external customer
    • Proven ability to function in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years working in the pharmaceutical industry
    • Minimum 3 years leading/managing concurrent projects
