Job Summary
This position works in conjunction with the Pricing, Demand Planning, Customer Support and Sales and Marketing teams, along with upper management to provide the administration of Tier II retailers and distributors, retail buying groups and other large customers as assigned (“Assigned Accounts”). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: profitability analysis of bids, product additions, price adjustments and rebate opportunities; assessment of customer contract compliance; customer contract agreement review; and product target modeling. The position is responsible for creating Business Analyses needed to review pharmaceutical customer product pricing or rebate program requests and makes recommendations on the profitability of the opportunity.
Job Responsibilities
- Creates the Business Analyses used to review pharmaceutical customer product pricing or rebate program requests and assists in determining the profitability of the opportunity.
- Acts as a gatekeeper for any proposed changes to pricing, rebate programs, and terms and conditions for Assigned Accounts. Works closely with management to assess impact to the business of these customers as a whole.
- Is a main contributor in semi-weekly business reviews with the Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Pricing and the Leadership Team to review pricing, rebates, profitability, open issues and go forward strategy on Assigned Accounts.
- Provides necessary business analysis to the organization to identify underperforming customers and assist in executing strategies to address and resolve the situation with the customer.
- Continuously reviews and updates the Offer Exceptions database to reflect the most recent and accurate customer rebate and terms exceptions data.
- Identifies pricing inconsistencies between direct customer, indirect customer and wholesaler contracts and presents findings to management to ensure pricing stability.
- Maintains pricing, product mix, validity dates, rebates, and terms of assigned customers.
- Provides all relevant documentation necessary for RFP responses, price challenges or inquiries from assigned customers.
- Creates executive summaries to review full line bid results and distributes to the Leadership Team.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Position does not have direct reports but does review and discuss the work of others to encourage team work and to achieve the goals and objectives of the company.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be self-motivated and possess strong business ethics for handling confidential information.
- Able to make independent judgment decisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
- Advanced computer skills including database and query development and spreadsheet manipulation.
Job Requirements
MANDATORY or MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor or Associate Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred with 5 – 7 years relevant pharmaceutical experience; or High School Diploma with 9 – 11 years of relevant pharmaceutical experience.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. In general the activity level one usually performs is light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative and sedentary nature. This position may require lifting up to 25 pounds. Generally work is performed in a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
WORK SCHEDULE
The regularly scheduled work week is Monday through Friday and the hours are 8:30a –- 5:30p.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Minimal overnight travel (up to 5%)
