Manager, Finance

Job Summary

Manages general financial and accounting functions.  Prepares reports and statistics reflecting earnings, cash balances, and other financial results.  Formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.    Assists Controller with balance sheet and income statement integrity, accounting information systems, and developing policies and procedures related to all necessary functions of the department.  Supervises  financial analysis, rebates, chargebacks, and  audit functions. Appraises operating results in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, trends and increased profit opportunities.  Carries out corporate initiatives related to Finance and Accounting.  (Incumbent currently performing many duties of Controller role)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares and manages sales analysis, financial reports, profitability analysis, and regulatory reports as necessary.
• Establishes and modifies accounting procedures to ensure proper control and efficiency of operations.  Analyzes problem areas and prepares recommendations for financial systems, procedures or organizational charge.
• Develops and improves reporting and controls throughout the organization to maintain and keep abreast of high-growth environment.
• Coordinates and prepares annual sales plans by reviewing proposals and recommending changes based on analysis of present and past operations, trends and costs, commitments and obligations.
• Responsible for overseeing sales reserves for reasonableness
• Conducts presentation of financial results to communicate company policies and procedures to internal customers.
• Assists in preparing monthly reporting packages for distribution. 
• Coordinates and communicates effectively and timely with corporate finance.
• Assists department leaders with financial analysis.
• Develops customer and product profitability models.
• Supervises financial analysis and operations staff.
• Assists in the development of department initiatives.

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree Finance or Accounting and requires 10 – 12 years experience in a similar role.
