Job Summary

The Commercialization Analyst (I or II) supports the management of new product launch execution including launch readiness and performance tracking by collaborating with multiple cross-functional areas.  The individual in this role is responsible for developing and maintaining internal databases and analyzes used to assist with launch oversight, such as customer demand and inventory levels, using internal and external data sources, to aid in the creation of forecasts and projections.  The individual is all responsible for responding to multiple internal and external requests for detailed product information and reports as requested.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and maintenence of New Product Launch Price Grids incorporating data from multiple internal and external sources including IQVIA, Medi-Span, IPD, internal forecast projections, market intel, and multiple other sources.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenence of Customer Target Models using data from IQVIA, Apotes’ Sales team and customer provided information along with multiple other sources.
  • Request and validate Customer usage and Forecast Data.
  • Generate and validate product launch documentation and other product data and specifications as required.
  • Monitor customer purchase orders for recent product launches and provide direction to Customer Support accordingly in collaboration with Sales.
  • Analyze and track customer demand relative to forecasts for recent product launches; work with Sales to engage customers and/or modify forecasts as needed.
  • Ensure proper inventory management for recent product launches to avoid backorders and risk inventory by regularly monitoring inventory levels, demand, remaining shelf life, and replenishment plans.
  • Generate product information and submissions to external sources as needed.
  • Create wholesaler stocking plans and coordinate with Contracts to generate stocking requests.
  • Monitor ASHP and FDA websites for information regarding market product shortages for upcoming and recent new product launches.
  • Assist in managing NDC change projects for new and existing products; create documents and communicate changes as required.
  • Field, research and respond to product related questions from multiple internal and external sources including Sales, Regulatory Affairs and Databanks as needed.
  • Create and maintain a Product Prospectus for upcoming new product launches.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations to communicate status of recent and upcoming new product launches.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree required either in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Pharmacy/Science, or a similar degree; advanced degree in business management or science a plus
  • 12 months of experience in the U.S. generic pharmaceutical industry or similar/comparable industry experience preferred
  • Strong and proven quantitative, qualitiative, analytical reasoning and communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills required; PowerPoint proficiency preferred
  • General analytical report creation, forecasting and financial modeling knowledge required
  • IQVIA and other pharmaceutical database knowledge preferred (Price Rx, FDA sites, etc.)
  • Ability to lead complex assignments requiring integration of multiple disciplines
  • Must be highly proactive, strong ability to prioritize, and capable of multi-tasking to a very high degree
  • Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes
  • Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements

  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%)
