Job Summary

As an integral part of the pricing team, this role will be responsible for executing pricing stategies  and providing analytical support to empower leaders to make timely and well-informed pricing decisions. Through your analysis and recommendations, you will have a direct impact to Apotex Corp’s profitability goals, with the goal of winning, retaining and growing our business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute pricing strategies as directed from Cross Functional Product Strategy team to execute/maintain product positioning
  • Utilizing internal sales, bid history and market data, evaluate and analyze incoming customer bids to make recommendations on price in accordance to Pricing Approval Matrix
  • Create and maintain pricing detail sheets that houses market price grids, IQVIA price trends and all relevant market price data.
  • Update and maintain the Approved Price Grids to correctly reflect current market conditions and product strategies
  • Review and maintain WAC and SWP analysis as needed and complete pricing analysis to determine if price adjustments are needed.
  • Update and maintain the master price activity file
  • Analyze price impacts and sales trends, recommending any adjustments as necessary
  • Collaborate with contracts to understand customer fee structures and relationships
  • Collaborate with Marketing utilizing market and competitive data to determine customer pricing guidelines.
  • Assist in the identification of industry trends and business opportunities to achieve the company’s mid-to-long term strategies for future growth and business goals.
  • Support ad-hoc pricing analytical requests

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree required either in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or similar degree.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

Microsoft Office Suite Applications; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

Business Intelligence development knowledge a plus

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Data analysis experience and familiarity with MS Excel
    • Experience with advanced complex formulas and pivot tables
    • VBA Macros, PowerPivot and Database (SQL) a plus
  • General analytical report creation
  • Multi-tasking and time management capability with strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing.  In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply.  In general the activity level one usually performs is light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative and sedentary nature.  This position may require lifting up to 25 pounds.  Generally work is performed in a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.   

WORK SCHEDULE

The regularly scheduled work week is Monday through Friday and the hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm.
