Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining compliance with all government pricing calculations and reporting along with interpretation of statutes, rules, and laws pertaining to government pricing.  Reviews, validates and approves work product from Senior Analyst, Government Pricing.  Recommend, review and approve process documentation related to government pricing calculation methodologies and procedures.  Manage the development, implementation and utilization of government pricing systems and related software applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain compliance for all government pricing calculation methodologies.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting of all government pricing calculations.
  • Manage and lead direct report(s) who perform all required government pricing calculations including AMP, Best Price, ASP, Non-FAMP, FCP, FSS, PHS, etc.
  • Manage and lead direct report(s) who analyze and process Medicaid and Coverage Gap claims
  • Lead the interpretation of statutes, rules, laws, and regulations pertaining to government pricing to ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Ensure SOPs are documented, relevant, and up-to-date
  • Design forecasting models and prepare monthly and quarterly Medicaid rebate liability forecasts
  • Identify and advise leadership of risks and opportunities related to government pricing as they relate to potential business strategies and initiatives
  • Attend industry-related seminars and training to ensure compliance knowledge is current and up to date.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Recruits, trains, develops and manages effectively the ongoing performance of their direct reports, which includes, but is not limited to:
    • Ensuring all Job Descriptions for direct reports are periodically reviewed, signed and stored according to our global job description processes; 
    • Reviewing and updating development plans for all direct reports, ensuring that all direct reports are properly trained and qualified according to our Global Training and Employee Qualification Enterprise Policy;
    • Effectively managing performance for direct reports according to the Global Performance Management Program,
    • Attracting and retaining talent based on our talent management framework;
    • Scheduling regular one-on-one meetings, probationary performance reviews and mid-year performance discussions;
    • Providing regular coaching, feedback and recognition based on the expected behaviors, job description and performance on objectives; and
    • Responsible to ensure compliance of team members (direct reports) with the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies. 
    • Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes;
    • Leads with a global mindset that respects all cultural dimensions;
    • Performs all work in accordance with our Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, and all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements;

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Must be self-motivated and possess strong business ethics for handling confidential information
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Able to make independent judgment decisions
    • Solid oral and written communication skills
    • Comfort working with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 6+ years of pharmaceutical experience and 2+ years of government pricing experience.
